Ordinary dam as every other but they put some tables and chairs at the waterfront if you like to enjoy your coffee

Nice spot to get a great view of the reservoir. There's a good cafe and place to grab some local Issan food.
A few too many soi dogs and little kids smoking and drinking (really), but a nice spot to sit and hang out for a bit.
You can also go for a ride on a "jetski" if you like
I walk this area almost daily, other than all of the stray dogs that may bark at you the scenery is beautiful

Mookata not so pricey with good view of the dam, be careful of ants infestation around your table.
Had a great few days enjoying the swimming and eating some nice BBQ food. Lots of snacks and and toys. On the weekend get there before 11am to get a good parking spot. After 1pm it is jammed.
